MKKS first opened in 1976 under the direction of Professor Lee Lowery, with a core curriculum of American Kenpo Karate, with Modern Arnis and Small Circle Jiu-Jitsu mixed in. This unique self-defense art is defined by its quick strikes that are delivered with power and precision. It was created by the late grandmaster Ed Parker, and incorporates all of our natural weapons, joint manipulations, boxing, and defense against weapons to protect ourselves and our loved ones.
We teach how to recognize a threat and make rational decisions on how to deal with that threat.
Kenpo is an art for everyone: any age, size, shape, gender, ability or disability. Kenpo will help you increase coordination, balance, strength, flexibility, awareness and mental toughness.
